Scarpelli Mosaici: finding a landscape inside the stone

At Scarpelli Mosaici, Via Ricasoli 59/r, colour comes from stone: the workshop makes landscapes, portraits and compositions in Florentine stone inlay. We suggest looking closely at one detail and trying to find the boundary between two fragments.

The workshop’s website describes hand-cutting and fitting the stones, and confirms that private visits and bespoke pieces can be arranged. Consider a stop here if the making interests you as much as the finished object.

To arrange a visit, email info@scarpellimosaici.it or call +39 055 212587. Confirm the time, language, duration, accessibility and any charge; the website’s offer does not establish availability for your dates.
